Family Comics

But also, oops? I wasn't really comfortable writing about family things, and this is kind of what ended up happening!

Week 4 - Dreams

The above comic page was made from this recent dream:

DREAM 1: I dreamt that I was in a car that I could not leave, in the driver's seat. In the car with me was a small turtle that I was taking care of for a friend. The turtle needed to eat and do various turtle activities, but I could not get out of my car to go to a pet store to supply the turtle, so instead I went to various Wendy's restaurants and ordered dollar menu chicken sandwiches with lettuce and fed the lettuce to the turtle. I also got a large cup of water and the turtle drank the whole thing, which made me pretty upset because I was thirsty and all I had otherwise was chicken and bread.
Also I could not go outside because anyone who did would get destroyed by a giant eagle but that was not a big deal for some reason.

I have also recorded the following, less happy dreams:

DREAM 2: I am just sitting around with a friend and my partner. She does not seem to remember anything until she is told something, and after that she acts as if she had known it the whole time and is very frustrated with us. Very stressful dream, but she does seem to calm by the end.

DREAM 3: I do nothing but seize and expel vomit through my ears all night. The dream feels like it goes on for hours, more hours than I probably actually got sleep for. I am very stressed, this did not help.

For Week One - Notes

Hell on Earth: odd how every panel is a close up, more interesting once the panels break the layout

Nightwings: as a female I am clearly not the intended reader.

Frost and Fire: but why did Lyte get upset with Sim for doing what he wants when they met so recently. She was fine a page before? Also, hilarious that Sim gets more muscly every time he's being more heroic.

Merchants of Venus: Paneling is sort of interesting.

Demon with a Glass Hand: Layout is most interesting so far

The Magic Goes Away: I am learning fast that I really do not like flashback panels that are the character's floating head around a crazy-colored background.

Sandkings: if you squint, all the colors kind of muddle together but not in the nice color scheme kind of way. Any text on a bright, fully saturated yellow background is very difficult to read.
